14th of February, year in and year out this date comes into picture. I think all of us knows what the day represents. Just to ensure that you don't get confuse let me tell you what is already clear to the sight of millions, 14/2 it is "VALENTINES' DAY". Yes it is the much waited day by the couples through out the year.
Why do people wait for this day? Well many feels that this is the appropriate day to show their love. People waste their 364 days in a year waiting to shower love towards their love one on this day. Do you think this is right to show someone your love only on this day and again turn on your cold shoulder the next day? And wait for another 364 days to be showered with love? No, I don't think this is right.
Yes, valentines' day is special as it reminds many the power and spirit of love. It makes people take special efforts which they would not dream of doing on a normal day in order to make the love one happy. But if the feeling is just for one day then it is not worth it. Let yourself immense yourself into the real meaning of love, that is why valentines' day exist to remind us the meaning of love. To bring us back ashore to our family and passion if we have drifted to far away chasing after physical wealth.
If you really understand and live your life cherishing your love ones day in and day out, then everyday is valentines day for you. But if you think that only on 14/2 you want to shower the special people in your life with love then even on that day it is not valentines' day for you.
Remember love is internal and not external. A whisper of "I Love you" at the right time to your love one can replace thousands of bouquet of roses. A whisper of "I trust you" at the moment of crisis can replace thousand sets of jewelry you can buy her. You standing by her side at the moment of grief and failure while saying "We'll make it through" can replace every single luxury that you can give her.

Yes , i 100% AGREE WITH you ..Valentine's Day has nothing to do with love and everything to do with the consumerism that abounds in this materialistic, capitalistic society. It is sad that we need a day set aside to recognize the people we love...this should be done on a daily basis throughout the year. Material things have nothing to do with love.
i love my girlfriend(thisan) 365 days per year and 366 days on leap year :)
The next time i see your girlfren i'll b sure to ask her. If her answer of you loving her not the same than you are not displaying your love enough (but agree with you hte fact that you do internally love her). The question is how often do you display it to her?
